A friend recently dubbed me the “queen of resort wear,” which I of course took as a tremendous compliment—and, let’s be honest, didn’t exactly disagree with. My resort wardrobe is good. Like, suspiciously better than my everyday outfits. But that makes sense: I’m a July baby (Cancer, hi), and I come alive in the heat. Give me a linen caftan, a gold sandal, and a glass of something citrusy and I’m at my peak.
If I had to distill the secret to standout resort style, it’s not about being head-to-toe in Pucci or Missoni—though by all means, don’t let me stop you (or my own credit card). It’s about great accessories, thoughtful details, and knowing how to pull together an interesting beach-to-dinner moment.
